”The Nocturne of Remembered Spring series, originally designed as a tryptic, was inspired by ancient Roman frescoes, with each distressed acrylic panel depicting a woman enjoying the bounties of nature. The Water Bearer features a woman holding a conch shell with an egret at her side. Floating in a sea of chlorophyll, these paintings are steeped in the ever-changing essence of nature— yet pictorially escaping the promise of eventual demise.
