The mural at Savannah’s renowned low country restaurant, Common Thread, is a monotone mural featuring trees, a whisper of a horizon and wandering branches that expand upon the four walls of a downstairs dining room. Commissioned by the restaurant and KS McRorie Design in conjunction with SCAD Art Sales, it was executed in the fall of 2020 by SCAD alumni, artist Sally Mayer Seidl. The artist worked closely with the design team to create a whimsical design, relying heavily on line weight and negative space to create an airy design that would organically spread throughout the space.
