A blank notecard featuring Sally Mayer Seidl’s original painting, Nocturne of Remembered Spring: The Lemon Gatherer. The series, originally designed as a tryptic, was inspired by ancient Roman frescoes, with each distressed acrylic panel depicting a woman enjoying the bounties of nature. In this work, a woman steps forward carrying a bowl of lemons, a cat at her ankle, as a man dissolves into the background with a lingering embrace, depicting a love that will linger long after the day is gone.
